Don't go to the classic definition that was put together by people outside this reality.
These people have knowingly numbed down the truth of Deism.

It may seem to the pure Deist that I'm more about Jesus in this video,but it's not so.
Unlike Jesus we have most of Thomas Paine's own writings on religious matter. Once the simplistic understanding of Deism is instilled into the mind it will inevitably supersede any faith mankind can invent.
My Christian Deist's, step back from your faith for just a moment if you can and ask yourself if just maybe my thoughts here have some validity? If not, why not?
Self professed "active" Atheist's, can you see how these thoughts could change these Abrahamic faiths as we know them. Can you see how the reality of Deism far exceeds your own non religion,non faith in this no god that's foundation is based solely on the God that is.
Your very title that you "active" Atheist's love to give yourselves denies someones Theism!
Does your "Atheism" really deny the truths,or revelations found in Life?
If you yourself don't believe that God plays a conscious role in your Life in some way,why the hell would you "actively" get others to believe the same thing?!
I like to ask self professed Atheist's "how do you think Life started". The usual answer I get is "we don't know". Most assume that any person who'd ask that question would be of the Abrahamic persuasion and not a fellow Atheist like themselves. The "we don't know" puts the assumed Abrahamic faith person in the same situation as we're all in setting the stage for any biblical questions the Theist would ask.
When they realize before I ask the question I'm a Deist (my hat is a dead giveaway) the answer is something like, "I don't think about it much" or they act like the question is unimportant. As they wear their big A, or some anti Theist slogan on their shirt,or hat.
They don't want to get into "the Life started from Something" argument. They know deep down if they do then they'd have to get into their own thoughts,theories,or unprovable faiths like all of us have who give the matter any real credence.
Truth is with these "active" Atheist's who wear these logo's their faith on matters of God is important to them.
Why else would they wear these different slogans for all to see.
They don't tell us what this Power,Force,Energy that the billions of us rightly honor with the sacred title of God is,but they're giving us a glimpse of their individual faith on the matter with the logos that unite them.
They don't see a reason to believe but they sure see a reason not to believe! I realize that these Abrahamic faiths and other fanatical people who impose their faiths on the world are a good reason to do something,but "in my opinion" (IMO) Atheism is the wrong approach.
Their own understanding of this Starting Point and what it is,or isn't,does,and doesn't do IMO is not a good solution for the collective whole that they're all hoping will think like them.
My Atheist brothers,and sisters before you take offense to this video study the world hero called Thomas Paine. You may find that his revolution in the system of religion is far better for the collective whole then these leading active Atheists who're in total denial about theirs.
This video is more about opening up a dialog with these key active Atheist's to help show them that there's another way. The world is a mess and these fanatical Abrahamic faiths are a big part of the problem,but todays active Atheists are only antagonizing and offering absolutely nothing in return!
Telling them that there's no gOD is a ignorant approach when all of Life is here to prove otherwise. Showing them the only correct path of understanding is the key. Here's where Thomas Paine's reality of Deism comes into play!
They don't see any reason to believe,or promote a God,but they see a reason to believe,and promote a "no gOD"?
Like all religions they despise they have books of truth,key evangelical type leaders,a logo,they ask for money to help the cause, and they pay their preachers to preach the no god concept.
All others are wrong if they don't think like them!

The Clergy Project is all about evangelism of Atheism! These poor lost souls have gone from one god that isn't to another one that isn't. In truth they went from one form of Atheism to another. At least now their title fits their understanding of the Creator of all.
They're all believers they just have a different faith on the matter,and they want you to share in their faith!
It all seems to totally contradict what these Atheists are very admit about not doing. They say they're not evangelizing,but their action tell us something else. Every ex Clergy person that I've looked into is on the active Atheists talk circuit,and payroll. If they don't have a book there's one in the making.
Like Christians who have an ex Muslim,or Jew promoting Christianity the Atheist uses the same tactics. We as Deists do this too,but we're honest about it. We are promoting Deism in hopes of grouping like minded believers. We do this because Deism is not only logical,but has the ability of saving the planet,and our race.
Deism is a Theology that studies the collective whole of Creation rather then limiting ourselves to a single book. Imagine a world of religious zealots who claim to love God as much as anyone from the Abrahamic faiths who look at all of Life as a sacred text.
Even if you thought they were "delusional" what would be the harm?
What does Atheism really offer,no Atheist ever has a good answer for this? There's a reason why Thomas Paine tried to stop the spread of this faith. Atheism like Theism is a faith in the true sense of the word. And since Life is proof that we come from Something then Atheism as todays Atheist's understand this word is a faith as well.
As a collective whole for society this faith can be equally as dangerous as any Abrahamic faith IMO.
If Life wasn't here proving that we come from some kind of infinite Force,or Power that the billions of us rightly honor with the sacred title of God maybe these active Atheist would have a leg to stand on.
The active Atheist pushes their no gOD concept with the same zealot manner that mirrors any religion. To think that it's not a faith,or religion is their no gOD delusion.
I'm not mad at these active Atheists for using ex evangelical to promote their no gOD agenda. Lots of wars have been won by enticing key individuals from their opponents side to speak out against the original side they were on.
Why lie about it? You're not fooling anyone,but yourselves!

Yes,my own spirit had me there to help these Abrahamic Deists find their way. They're so busy analyzing,and fighting over the ancient linguistics of our ancestors that they've lost the simplistic truth that Deism (God) holds.
The Bible,and the words found within were never meant to be literal.
We know this because reason tells us that God doesn't write books,S/He manifests Himself through the collective whole of Her Creation, the pure Deists sacred text,or as you say "scripture"......

You can't dog Deism because it makes too much sense! You can't dog Thomas Paine because his character far exceeds any prophet that you praise.
